Tell us about your background and how you got started in your field.

While travelling through Canada, the U.S. and India, I discovered my love for photography. I was always interested in learning and experiencing everything, so it was a good start to study photography here in Vancouver.

I want to change the world, I want to make the world a better place, and photography can do that. I compare photography to music and food, You don’t need anything else to connect with people … everyone understands it. I speak a few languages fluently, but photography is the most important of those languages because it connects people without the need for words.

What inspires you?

The feeling of something bigger inspires me. It could be a song, a video, a photograph, any art form or just someone saying something and this feeling, this wonderful feeling of endlessness unfolds.

Who are your role models, if you have any?

A role model to me can be anyone. This person lives his/her live by example, that is someone I look up to!

What do you find most rewarding about your job?

To create beautiful captures of the present moment and working with teams that help to get the best out of every image.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Definitely working on some big projects that will promote love and peace in the world. What that will look like, I am not quite sure yet, but it will be fantastic.

Since CoCo & Rico is a local magazine, what is your favourite thing about Vancouver?

Sitting at the ocean on a beautiful beach, seeing the green trees and landscape with the snow-covered mountains in the background. One beautiful place in this world to be living at!

What would you do with a day off?

Day off? What’s that?
